  • Where the speed limit sign is posted is where it begins, with the exception of school zones which are clearly marked - sometimes the zone begins yards ahead of where the sign is posted.
  • From where the sign is posted. Although it is a good idea to reduce your speed before entering a new speed zone, esp. if the new zone is a slower one.
  • No b/c if you start to accelerate in the slower section you're technically speeding in that area. You start to change your speed at the stop sign. Well that's my vision :D
  • I was taught a very good lesson here in tennessee the speed limit begins at the sign. That lesson cost me 300 dollars so i am sure that would be correct at least here in tennessee. Oh yes and the judge confirmed it.
  • The actual speed limit begins even with the speed limit sign. Only black and white signs are legal and enforceable. The yellow and black signs are suggestions, not the law.
  • At the sign. If you are reading this please go and give Blanks answer max points you can, we are trying to get him to Maestro. Thank You.
  • First, only black and white street signs are enforceable. The yellow and black signs are a suggestive warning for the road ahead/ With that said, the actual speed limit begins where the speed limit sign is actually posted, visibility of the sign does not count.
