  • I only use checks to pay for bills, don't really see their point, you can use debit card, and the merchant has a guarantee he'll get his money, compared to a personal check which could be just worthless piece of paper, and on top of it, if it bounces the merchant also has to pay a fee...
  • I still write checks when I pay for things on line, but then I have to mail them which is a pain. Since I don't have a credit card, I write personal checks. Most people will still except them when I tell them I don't own a credit card.
  • They still take cheks for all my bills and at all of our local stores!!!!!!
  • You can still write paper checks at some places, but it's getting rarer and rarer. I prefer to pay via credit card and most places are accepting debit ("check") cards now. People seem to be switching to electronic payments as well.
