  • There are a few but they are like the Maytag repairman: lonely. Today's electronics are so cheap that it is usually cheaper to buy a new unit to replace the broken one than to repair it. This is a double-edged sword - they are cheaper because they aren't as well made and therefore more likely to fail, putting you on the endless cycle of 'buy and replace.'
