Well seeing how I live in a van down by the river I would love to be a homeowner and have some social standing and not get hasseled by the cops everyday..Thank God for the hour I get at the library to use the computor.

I know I do. The amount I've spent on rent in that last 12 years is in the neighborhood ofd $85,000! And all THAT money is gone, spent, not invested. Of course homes cost several hundreds of thousands of dollars, and getting the loan will be a pain, to be so far in debt with so far to go to pay it off. It's a marathon! But the next 10 years will pass whether I buy my home or not.

I'm buying a tiny little flat and I really wish I could afford a house. This place is better than a kick in the teeth but it really cramps me up.

I have been very fortunate,I am renting my sisters home w/the option to buy.All my rent goes towards purchase,and it is relatively hassel free!

My family lives in a rented apartment. I hope we own a house soon. It's really a family dream that's been so elusive. =(

Only because of the possible investment. I love my apartment and it's quite affordable. My landlord wanted me to buy the building, but to make it profitable I'd have to raise the rent of the two old ladies on the bottom floor. They're on a fixed income, and I couldn't do that to them.

When my ex wife and I split, she got the house and I now live in an apartment. I hate it. I am working toward buying me a house.
