  • I don't think it'd be a bad idea for minor traffic violations. I always thought they should have a secret code for an officer in case they get pulled over for speeding.
  • No. No one should be above the law. What sort of message does that send? I don't want my doctor one who was out there drunk driving, or even super speeding!
  • Only if they can prove they are on the way to an emergency. Otherwise, they follow the rules.
  • I'm a nurse and i wouldn't expect preferential treatment....but they do seem to like getting us on the way home after a night shift!
  • I think anyone who can prove they are on their way to an emergency should be given special consideration. This would include parents rushing home to a very sick or injured child as well. The problem would be how to prove such an emergency.
  • No way. Why? Most of the time they aren't rushing to an emergency, in fact most doctors and nurses don't engage in working emeregencies.
