I love to go outside and watch them. They were really great to watch when I lived in the desert, and you could see them all around you!

Every chance I get!

All the time. And now that we have our porch, it's an awesome place to really feel the storms and try to take photos of the lighting over the pond. Still haven't gotten that one great shot yet. Can't wait for the snow to start !

I haven't been out in a huge thunderstorm while it was raining, for fun, but once I watched one start for fun. It was this huge thunderhead rolling in from the east. The leading edge was pure white, and the cloud color gradually went from white to dark grey as the cloud stretched east. The reason why it was so fun was that the cloud was moving very slowly, but within the cloud there was the most spectacular lightning show I had ever seen. If clouds had minds, this one had definitely been practicing for weeks to put on a fantastic "fireworks" show in my area. It would have been completely unfair to the cloud to hop into the car and miss the show, so I sat there in the supermarket parking lot for the next twenty minutes, in awe of the natural "fireworks" show.

I love to go out and watch them at night but only into my garden cos I'm really a bit of a wuss. We had a terrific one just before summer and I sat in the conservatory with the dogs, tv turned off etc it was spectacular. After it had finished i went into the lounge turned the tv on and sat down. Suddenly there was an almighty bang and everything went dark and very quiet. The storm had not finished I thought we had been hit, the dogs started to go mad and i could hear this loud frantic banging. It took a few seconds for me to realise that this was my heart going into overdrive. Living in the country with no streetlighting you can imagine it was blacker than black, we had just moved into the house recently so i was less familiar with the layout in the dark. Trying to find the door handle with two excitable dogs racing around your feet, trying to stay calm and not start hyperventilatin in the pitch dark (i get panic attacks in total black out)was I guess on reflection character building stuff. Thankfully tho as i was halfway accross the hallway (trying not to think of all the horror films I have watched where the woman is home alone) the lights came on. I was nowhere near the kitchen.. however, having been shown the light i gave a huge sigh of relief and made a dash to the kitchen to grab the candles and matches before the next black out....stopping very quickly to pour a large glass of wine...then all was dark again. I'm prepared for the next one now so bring it on....I told you i was a wuss :)

I have found that the best place to watch a thunderstorm is at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. It is right on the lake and the storms just roll across the point. You can watch the lightning start at one point and spider web their way around the point. The last time I was there, we went to the laser light show during a thunder storm. The lightning received a bigger round of applause than the special effects!

No I enjoy it on the inside looking out.
-
Yes, love to play in the rain.
-
Yes I love to walk out in the rain with the thunder and lightning. I dont take an umbrella, I just wear a hat.
-
I love a good storm, but, if there's lightning, I'm inside !
-
I used to absolutely LOVE running around in the rain! That is, until I was struck by lightning! That will stop you from running around in a thunderstorm "real quick"! But, yes, if it's just a little rain shower, I love to stand out in it. It's good that I do, because my little buddy (my dog Ebby) takes 10 times as long to do her business, when it's raining! LoL!
-
Yep we go and lay on the trampoline to watch the thunder all around us. I think the danger makes it a little more exciting.

Y e s. Love good summer thunderstorms with all the wildness and power. By the way did any one remember the film "Something wicked this way comes..." based on an older novel?
-
yeah... i went out on my first motorbike in a thunderstorm... that was fun!
-
oh yes-it makes you feel so alive and small compared to the power of nature-especially if you are from the midwest!
-
yes. i love summer storms
-
Hell yeah! I love thunderstorms! I love just sitting outside and watching the lightning and seeing the rain fall...especially out in the country, it's really beautiful how you can see for miles.
