I haven't been directly sprayed, but I was in the house when my partner sprayed it into the sink... I ended up having trouble breathing and vomiting before he felt anything. The door to his room was closed, so the fumes went underneath the door and then some. I'd hate to have that sprayed in my face! My eyes burned for a while, but the pain from vomiting was worse. I've also accidentally shocked myself with a stun gun (I was holding it to an apple... stupid me was holding the apple. I wasn't thinking that the apple was mostly WATER.) There are different strengths of pepper spray out there. I'm not exactly sure what strength that was, but it was more than enough. :(
