I think it is more than one in three now, at least that is the divorce rate unless you belong to my family and we have 16divorces among 5 of them, in my immediate family.

I am just taking a stab in the dark here but I would say that 99% of marriages where a spouse cheated eventually end in divorce.

I am going to have to go with about 100% due to the fact that since you asked this very question I got divorced from my husband of over 21 years because I literally caught his and a much older married co-worker doing their "thing" in our daughters bed. I confronted her husband who didn't have much to say and a few months ago she filed for divorce against him....go figure. My husband is guilty of doing a great many "bad" things in his life to myself and others but this is definately the proverbial straw. I let the cat out of the bag about him to everyone I could and now their probably is not a decent woman on earth who will have anything to do with him. I hope he is stuck with this extremely ugly 12 year older wrinkly old you know what for the rest of his miserable life. He lost his family for that! Thats my answer. i'll be busy for the next few still settling the divorce and going to take him for everything I can!

I am not of the philosophy "once a cheater always a cheater" but no matter how pennetant the cheater is the relationship is scared for life. both parties are better off going their separate ways and find new relationship.
