Yes, I care about what many people think about me. If someone doesn't like something about me because of a habit or personality trait that over 1/2 of the population would want me to change, I would like to know about it so I would know what to change in the first place. But if one out of 300 people despises something about me, I'll probably not mind keeping it because the majority doesn't mind.

It would be nice if you thought well of me but it doesn't affect me directly if someone I don't know, out there in web-ville doesn't like me or think badly of me. I like being liked but it isn't the end of the world if someone doesn't. I have friends and family and am secure:-)
