Wow. Is it someone you can trust? What if they do something illegal with your car. you'll be responsible. What if they run off on you and you can't find them to pay off the rest. I hope it's a close family member or friend!

personally go w/him and have absolute proof that he pays 6 months insurance on the vehicle up front ,write out a bill of sale with the terms of payment,he will keep insurance in force, your name as lien holder,payments will be made at 30,60,and 90 days.the car is sold "as is" buyer is responsible for all maintenance and repairs.if the buyer does not make payments the buyer is responsible for returning vehicle in the same condition as when he received it,and if not will be responsible for repairs to your satisfaction.make out two copies of bill of sale.have both parties sign them and have them notorized.then there will be no trouble if you have to see each other in court.

Listen PLEASE take it from someone who has been there and done that, Everything can and will go wrong. If they have a reck YOU will have a new body style, If the Eng throws a rod because they wanna drive it hards or with out oil YOU will have to buy the motor OR pay just as much trying to get the money out of that person. PLEASE trust me when I say "No good deed goes unpunished" Do your self a favor not the rest of the world. GOOD LUCK!
