I decided to make an edit to this answer to better reflect the question. US Airspace could mean a lot of different things here, Airspace Classifications range from A to G. Some of these have speed restrictions, others do not. Theres a special restriction in class B airspace under 10,000 feet that is 200 knots for specific aircraft operating under specific guidelines. Your best bet is to check the FAA for the actual airspace rules because it varies and it can be changed by ATC. There is also a 250 knot speed limit below 10,000 feet, applying to most commercial airliners. Check www.faa.gov for information, they have all of the documents that pilots and controllers use available for download and print. Different aircraft will also be travelling at different speeds. A commercial jet may be traveling at 230 knots at the same altitude that a small propeller aircraft would travel at 115 knots.
