Help answer this question below.
www.music.download.com offers free, legal mp3s.
i love limewire.
WinMX is prett sweet... but they are resetting up right now so stick with em they are getting it all up and running
Limewire has just about every song you can think of..
Limewire.
http://thepiratebay.org/browse is good but you have to have bittorrent.
Go to http://www.Limewire.com free file sharing. You need to download the file though, I have it and it is great for free music.
I say www.limewire.com also. DO NOT use Kazaa. I used to use that and my comp got invaded with spyware!
I used to use http://www.kazaa.com/, but in the past year or two, I've started to get notes talking about licenses.
You should try http://www.limewire.com/. That's what I use now. I like it so far. Its user friendly, I think.
You can always try both and you decide. Click on the links and there's a part that talks about free downloads.
Hope you like.
if you're looking for a specific song i'd check beemp3.com first.
if you just want to listen to it you can stream it for free via deezer.com
.
if you're looking do download in bulk, though, i'd suggest torrenting (bitcoment utorrent, whichever. they all get the job done).
unless you're searching for something really obscure that almost no-one has, in which case a P2P might be your best bet (i'd go with eMule, it's got everything).
.
Happy Leeching :)
lime wire is the best yeah but it is getting band so there not much point in downloading it everyone who has internet should be getting a letter through the post soon about it. just to lett you know if you do get it and you use it after you have a letter then you get a fine, i am realy gutted about it :(
Limewire is the best.
Kazaa
Try www.limewire.com, Kazaa. Others like Last.fm or ezmo.com OR ya can try media sharing sites like cylive.com, twango.com and yuntaa.com. Good Luck!
limewire, bittorent, bearshare....just type them into google and you can take it from there...
try WinMX, or Blubster.com, but I tried Limewire once, and it crashed my computer. So I never use it anymore.
Limewire is the best right now.
http://www.Limewire.com
buymusicyoufool.com or use limewire
don't know if it's legal, but it's free... and you don't have to install any file share software...
Singingfish.com
www.insound.com
download.com has a nice selection.
You can try going to an actual band or artist's site. Particularly Indie bands. Many up and comming artists, as well as established ones, have sample songs from albums you can try out and keep. They want to "be heard" and it's easier for them to market themselves on the internet(cheaper too), get heard and have their talent spread by word of mouth or Blogs. MySpace.com has many such groups and artitsts with legal, free downloadable content. I grabbed some today from The Drake Brothers, online.( Big plug here, the guys are pals of mine).
What country do u live in as in the us thier is a new p2p service called qtrax which is completely legal and has amazing download speeds only prob is is that it has drm but u can easily get hold of software such as tunebite and sound taxi that remove it.
I find limewire to be the best as long as free music is concerned.
But you may not find all that you are looking for in there.
DON'T USE ANY P2P SOFTWARE! THAT INVITES VIRUSES IN YOUR COMPUTER! Use Torrents!!
Limewire
but it is illegal :(
Limewire or soulseek
I used to enjoy free downloads but I guess I've kinda decided to pay for stuff. Back in the day it was limewire tho
Yeah Limewire is great for single tracks, but if your after full albums try B.T.Junkie.com.IT'S FANTASTIC!!!
And more importantly TOTALLY FREE!!
Limewire! It rocks!
Got to www.download.com and download : Morphues. It can download music, vids, and picuters!
projectplaylist.com
pandora.com
Try peer to peer networking. I would give you my site but I don't want to draw attention to it.
Here is a good site for free music. Most of it is old radio programs or live concerts, but it is all legal. They even have a page dedicated to the Grateful Dead! http://www.archive.org/details/audio
Peace!
www.limewire.com to download the software.
www.emp3world.com is a very good website give it a try
I have never had any trouble lith limewire. so as the sayin goes : If it aint broke...............
Limewire
Well, i don't know the answer, but I don know that if you're looking for LEGAL downloads, Liomewire is NOT the way to go since it is ILLEGAL look up Limewire legalities. You'll find that it contains illegally aquired music. Basically, it gives away music that should be payed for, but isn't. Short version: the music is Pirated. Your choice, your morals.
free-albums.net you need winrar because all the albums are in a rar archieve.
Soulseek (http://www.slsknet.org). It has tons of music, I personally like it better than limewire (or any other filesharing programs I've tried).
you can try bearshare or limewire though i really dunno if it is legal..
www.Rhapsody.com
lets you listen to 25 songs a month for free.
as far as burning them there is no legal way to it. some people record the song while it plays, but again it is NOT legal.
I am going to assume you mean legally. If so, I recommend StationRipper. Go to http://StationRipper.com , you can check out the info there. Because you don't know what songs you're getting for sure, it is legal. Right now it's considered the same as if you recorded radio stations.
It also lets you buy the cd versions of songs you are recording. The way StationRipper works is you choose from a huge compilation of online radio stations and StationRipper automatically records the songs. If you know a radio station site that hosts their station music online you can use that url as well.
It does let you find music to a degree too by showing what a station is playing at the moment and letting you search through stations. Of course, the same song will probably be over or be partway through by the time you record the station so you'll have to keep recording from the station until it plays again.
It's a long, drawn-out process to getting the songs you want, but at least it's legal, at the moment anyway. The U.S. might move against it in the future. For now though, StationRipper is the best bet for legal, free music.
Frostwire
www.filestube.com
Very cheap but not free : www.mp3panda.com
IRC is a great place to find decent fast bots that serve albums and fservs that have all kinds of mp3's.

Good site for new musicians and more obscure ones as well. I enjoy the "world" music tab myself. Lots of interesting stuff there.
