  • Yes. I slipped and fell while crossing a dead tree in the jungle. I had a black eye for a couple of days. Where was compensation when I needed it? LOL
  • Oh yeah. I had a black eye at work when I was stabbed at job..
  • Nope, nobody's ever been lucky enough to hit the speedy Drewmeister! Muahahaha...eh:P
  • Yes, twice since I had my eye surgery. I seem to have to get used to judging distances more and keep walking in to stationary objects. Oh the pleasures of perfect eyesight :)
  • No, but I did show up with my husband to a bunch of parties welcoming us to the community (my husband had a high profile job and we moved to the community for it) with a black eye (long story, but I ran into a wall hitting the corner of the wall in the middle of my eyebrow). I tried to cover it up with make-up, but you could still see people whispering and pointing to me.
  • Yep. But when I explained I'd gotten it in karate class, nobody really gave me a hard time.
  • I did, everytime I sparred this one female black belt, she had something to prove and would tag me someplace. Light contact rule (full contact is deadly) doesn't apply for females apparently, but I did cure her disregard for the rules of sparring with a series of bone crushing blocks, Full contact on a block is overlooked by everyone except the recipient. For them it is far more pain than they had intended to recieve. Black eyes, bruised arms and legs. All the time.
