I have a 1995 Ford Ranger and for the longest time the temp gauge was very constant, now after about ten min. after startup I notice the temp gauge goes high then levels out--- also on the highway I see it go up slighty and then back to normal ina few sec

    you can buy high and low temp thermostats. depending on the climate you live in, and season. well, low thermostats open and cool your engine before it gets to 210-240 degrees, and high temp does the opposite.

    The thermostat may be about to quit working. They are very inexpensive and easy to change. I think I would go ahead and change it if it was mine. GL:)
