Should the use of mobile(cell) phones in cars while driving be banned as it is in many overseas countries?

Well, i think it should be banned. I come from one of the country that banned cell phone usage while driving, it is the best thing they did. No more crazy drivers swerving in and out of traffic. Moreover, there are more accidents when one does not pay full attention to the road.

yes..they are distracting..plus people who are on cell phones hardly ever turn on their turn signals...

Yeah, I think so, but this is coming from a guy who doesn't own a cell phone. I do use an electric razor while driving every once in a while:)

Yes, they already are here in New York though no ones seems to obey the law. I see people driving around with their phones up to their ears all the time so it doesn't make much difference if you don't enforce it.

Yes , it has been banned in the UK as well as many other countries. I got hit head on on my side of the road some young person texting his sister.

no because the minute the cell phones are banned the people will do another dangrous task to take its place.

Sometimes there are calls which are important to get, but people should cut them short and let the caller know that they are driving, and need to talk later.
