No Billy was the one for that role,just as Forest was the role for hanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Hanks could have pulled it off. Is a great movie as it is, but there may have been a little extra OOMPH from hanks.

I don't know that it would have been better or worse, just different. I enjoyed the movie. Billy Crystal's quirky personality worked well I thought.
