Not really. I guess they say it just to calm you, but I don't stop worrying.
-
Nope..lol :)
-
Never! That's usually cause to jump out of your skin! Guess it depends on the situation.
-
It doesn't work like that :)
-
I hate when someone tells me that! Drives me crazy and makes me worry more! Like when someone says "calm down." Then I really want to slap them silly;)
-
Sometimes, yes, but othertimes, no. -In the Master's service. Thank you and God bless you!
-
Nope... it usually gets me to worry more... I just feel like they don't care when they tell me not to worry....
-
if they can explain logically why I should ...then yes
-
No why on earth should I , easy for them to say it is not their problem i am worrying about.
-
I look at them sideways and ask them to provide logical reason for me to not worry about whatever it is. If they cannot, I would prefer to not be told that.
-
only if the person who is telling me that is directly involved with what I'm worrying about.
-
No, I continue to worry until whatever it is eventually solved.
-
I can depend. If they say it jokingly like: I'm just going to the store, I'll be back in a bit, don't worry! I won't. If there is something more to be concerned on (health or something) yeah I still will but without being so obvious.
-
Nope. Never. Same goes with "Don't cry" or "Never mind"
-
That phrase has become trite and a pat answer for those who don't know what else to say. However, I believe we fall into the trap. I think when there is reasoning and common sense then it works. For example: Let's your friend looses their house in the San Diego, CA fire and you say, "This has to be the worst experience for you. You know in no time you can rebuild an even nicer home. Don't worry the insurance will be a help to you."
