Ever been awarded a serious medal - and feel like crap afterwards?

Not a medal, but an award. The owner of the company made a special award just for me and gave a presentation at a party in front of all employees. I was so flattered and honored. And then I realized how it made the woman who had my job before me (who still worked there) feel about herself and her performance (and the fact that she never got an award. I felt awful for it and she never treated me the same.
