There really are no health risks for "brain freeze". When something cold touches the roof of your mouth, it triggers a cold headache. The cause is a dilation of blood vessels in the head. There are no helath risks to brain freeze. It is a temporary condition. The same blood vessels cause your face to flush on cold weather. Brain freeze just hurts like hell!!!
