I don't know of any schools that teach strictly kenjutsu, but I do know of some schools that instruct in another similar sword art, shinkendo. They have schools in global locations, but has its headquarters in California: http://www.shinkendo.com/main.html Definitely worth looking into. Good luck! :)

Be careful of frauds when studying Kenjutsu. Many dojos are total Bullshido. Your best bet is to study an art that is "Koryu", rather than a modern sword art that is perhaps not fit for combat. Go to www.koryu.com and check their Ryu guide. In fact, koryu.com is THE place to get info on classical Japanese martial arts. Barring that, another good alternative is a good European longsword school. Though I study a bit of koryu kenjutsu, I much prefer longsword. Groups like ARMA, AEMMA and others give very, very good instruction in swordsmanship. What you learn there will prepare you very well for kenjutsu training if you eventually find it. The reason for this is that the principles of swordsmanship are universal. Another good alternative is classical fencing, which is REALLY hard to find, but you might be lucky. :)

While I have not yet noticed any Canadian schools that teach only Kenjutsu, I do know of many that include various types of sword/blade lessons, including bits and pieces of Kenjutsu ... even I include some Kenjutsu in my lessons (not much, just the elementary basics), but since swords are no longer common or even legal to carry, I prefer the wooden cane as a modern martial arts legal weapon of choice ...
