  • I asked a similar question to this one awhile ago, but got no satisfactory answers. I can only assume that as the date is different in your question as it is to mine that they keep the database to a certain size and that means there is a constant clean out going on. http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/312545 Six months seems like a short time though.
  • No, it is just because in this list, only the "last" answered respectively unanswered questions are listed. If you look at the "Greatest Q&A", you will see that there have a lot more pages. Of course, these are then sorted according to popularity (=points), not chronologically. By the way, the last in those lists are questions with -7 points (answered) respectively -3 (unanswered), so all questions are also not listed there. For instance the question with the most points at the moment is this one: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/86908 and it was "Asked Nov 15 2006 11:06PM " Anyway, if you want to find the oldest questions, just give their number as an URL. For instance here is the first question ever asked: What is the meaning of life? http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/1 it was "Asked May 27 2003 12:58PM" This is the second question: Is there a god, and either way, how do we know? http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/2 it was "Asked Jun 28 2003 2:40PM" You can even find questions which have been rejected as nonsense, for instance this one: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/332262
