Do you always put the recommended grade of gas for your car or is it really budget based?

My wife's vehicle is designed to run on regular unleaded just fine , so that's what we use in hers. I do use additives to keep the fuel lines, injectors & valvetrain clean and change the fuel filters regularly. My truck is a diesel and you can only get one grade of low sulpher diesel now, so, that's what I use in mine, and of course, I keep the filters changed in it too. I go for the lowest fuel price I can find !
