  • If I were to get one it would be a hog.
  • Harley's..I like to glide along not sit on a fire rocket.
  • Harley all the way!!
  • Harley.
  • Harley...cruising along and enjoying the ride beats hanging on for dear life while sitting on the family jewels anyday!
  • Crotch rocket. With all the money I save by not buying an overpriced Harley (and they are *all* overpriced), I can modify the CR so that it has sane riding ergonomics and still enjoy all of the performance, handling and fuel economy that such bikes provide. . . http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/1314089 . .
  • If I was to buy a bike it'd be a Crotch Rocket
  • any chopper over a crotch rocket.
  • Harley or Harley clone would be my first choice. If I could have BOTH , I'd also have a Ducati 996 just to go out and burn up curves with.
  • Harley Davidson
  • I just bought a 1983 Suzuki GR650 as a starter bike. I'm catching a lot of hell from my friends, but they're mainly retired and can afford a $30,000 bike. I doubt they all started out with a Fatboy. My Suzuki isn't a crotch rocket, though. I'd never get a crotch rocket.
  • My husband has a Honda spirit(?) Its more like a harley, but costs way less, and rides just as well, so I'm going with Harley. Crotch rockets are just so dangerous. So many people around here where I live have gotten themselves killed on those things riding in the mountains. I don't think I'd ever let my husband have one of those.
  • Harley ! If I have to explain why, you wouldn't understand.
  • A man on a Harley is better than a boy on a rocket any day!
  • if you want speed crotch rocket all the way, what does harley offer? the v rod?, which is still only a 11second bike in pro hands, and they have that racebike the destroyer, which runs high nines with a wheelie bar and it isnt street legal, KAWASAKI ALL THE WAY BABY
  • cruiser is better
  • You make it sound like there's only two types of motorcycles where you come from, if that's the case then I'd have to reply "neither". But the Harley will be a more relaxed ride so if pushed that's what I'd go for, and sell it as soon as the mechanical guarantee runs out.
  • Harley all the way!
  • There are a line of excellent Japanese bikes on the market, comparable to a "Harley". Cruiser vs. Rocket, there is no comparison. I prefer cruiser, for comfort.
  • How about the 500 Horse power Dodge Tomahawk? ... or this joke motorized unicycle ...
  • 1987 or 89 Honda Goldwing Continental.
  • It really comes down to what you plan on doing with the bike and what your passion is. If you like pulling wheel stands at the light and flying through the twisties but don't plan on riding all day; a sportbike would be the one. If your looking for a machine that you can ride all day and make long trips on; a touring model is a must. Take your time and decide, you can rent a bike at most dealers (some criterea required). Don't buy a bike because someone else tells you to, buy a bike that fits you and your lifestyle.
  • Rocket all the way. Harley's in my opinion are obnoxiously loud, obnoxiously large and just kinda stupid looking. There's not a sports bike out there that would back down from a hog.
  • Depends on what kind of riding you are doing or want to do. If your looking for high performance get a sportbike if your looking for comfort and a laid back feeling get a cruiser (Harley or something of the sort).
  • Neither, you are comparing extremes. Sport touring is where it's at for me - comfort, speed and utility.
  • I have owned both, the harley 1340 couldn't even get out of it's own way, every one says the crotch rockets are dangerous but they accelerate much faster, turn mucher quicker, and stop in half the distance of a harley, to me thats safer, I am more comfrotable riding my Yamaha R1 for hours than I ever was on the Heritage so I sold the Harley, excellent resale value 11k for a 95
  • Crotch rocket looks much cooler! Harley is for old people cuz I see most old people ride them
  • Harley! I'v always disliked crotch rockets, and no not because I suck at riding them.. I just don't like them
