I remember when a cell phone used to be this big pouch that you had to lug around with a handset that looks like a brick. Can you believe how far technology has brought us in the last decade?

Remember when you had to wait by the phone for an important call, and when the phone rang, you didn't know who it was? And once you found out who it was, if it wasn't the important phone call, you had to cut the conversation short?

I know its amazing to me. I think of CD players & walkmans how expensive they use to be & now you can buy them for practically nothing.

I remember before cell phones, when the only mobile phone was a car phone and it was huge and took so much room in the car. But there were no specially calling zones. It actually worked like a special ops phone. You had to have a little antenna on your car. You could always spot people who had them in their cars. Most limos had them I noticed. But it was kind of nice that you weren't available everywhere and TV or movie plots didn't get advances with convenient info relayed by cellphone instead of good storylines.

I know! I was just thinking of trading my phone in for one that could actually fit in my wallet! But, that may be TOO small..:)

Yes, but I did not have a cell phone at that time... Think also about all these people flying around with their jetpacks. We did not have them before, either...
