Isn't the name for that Dipin Dots! Have you ever tried eat that stuff? It sticks to your mouth! Not Good!

If it was at edible temperature yes, but I'm not that crazy a fan of ice cream so maybe not...

- So if I used a CO2 filled fire extinguisher and a clean pillow case as part of my ice cream production equipment, would you still try the ice cream? (look out for possible chunks of dry ice)

- Well, dry ice (assuming we are both referring to frozen CO2?) is obviously too cold to eat, so I wouldnt eat it!
  CO2 is tasteless and harmless in low quantities.
  I dont see how the fire extinguisher fits into this??

- I'm referring to an article in Popular Science. Spray the fire extinguisher with the CO2 into a clean pillow case to collect dry ice. Mix other ingredients together in an oversize mixing bowl. Add dry Ice flakes a little at a time, and keep stirring.

- Hmm.. I dont know why one wouldn't simply spray the extingusher directly into a hole in the lid of a sealed bowl, which contained the ingredients. The spray would agitate the cream, while freezing it.
  "Dry Ice" doesnt just sit around doing nothing. It evapourates prettyy quickly! (Its -109.3°F or -78.5°C !!)

check out heston blumenthals michelin star resturant he uses it all the time to make ice cream and sorbets he calls it culinary alchemy very interesting i would love to try it but im afraid of killing my dinner guests

You mean made OF dry ice or using dry ice in the making of the ice cream? Because I am not eating dry ice. And I don't see why anyone would go to the trouble to find and use dry ice to make something as simple as ice cream. There are plenty of easy, inexpensive and safe ways to make it.
