  • I did at one point in my life--yes.
  • Yes mate, I suffer from depression, and I know how hard it is. I get really mad when people tell me to "pull myself togeather" and "it will be ok", Its hard, some days are worse than others, I have a good doc, I take my pills ( most of the time ), but no one knows how hard it is some days, I know how you feel. Things will get better, stick with it :-)
  • Yes me also, between 6 years old till 16 years old i have had many tragic things happen, starting with parents divorce, moving multiple times, and learning that my father has ALS. It is very hard to cope at times, but I am doing my best to overcome it.
  • Yes, I grew up in a violent house. My parent was severely mentally ill. I was poisoned and stabbed on several occasions. One of my siblings did not survive. There were countless violent episodes .I was on the street many nights and ended up in detention centers. there is no dark place God won't go to lift up one of his children. You are not alone ,so don't Isolate yourself. THe past has nothing to do with the future. before you can heal it, you have to feel it. Don't be afraid to greive and feel the pain. putting it off or stuffing it only makes it worse. May God Bless you ,and wrap his arms around you. You'll be alright.Life WILL GET BETTER and so WILL YOU.This to shall Pass.
  • Yes, definitely!!! I have dealt with depression all my life. Especially as a very young child and in adulthood(relationships). I have been in counseling and medicinal care since 11 years old and I am now 21. The counseling can help if you are really comfortable and trusting of this person, otherwise your wasting your time and money. I take Cymbalta for my depression, which is an SSRI, and this medication really does help. The best way to help yourself overcome these situations is to not pity yourself and analyse your behaviour to make sure your not overreacting, or beating yourself up. Understand yourself better and don't try to fight your mind for being depressed because it will only put you deeper in the black hole as I call it. Hope this helps, you are most definitely NOT alone, and it's gonna be hard to fix your thoughts, so take your time.
