How can a real estate agent get a fast start and get paid a commission on the selling and closing of a house before the "first six months."

you have to be in the right market at the right time and you have to know a LOT of people. It isnt as easy as it was 3 or so years ago. I wish i had a better answer, but it just isnt what it used to be! are you looking to make a career out of real estate or just make some quick cash?

I dont think anyone should go into real estate if they are not truly passsonate and intrested in this carrer. The ones that go in for just the money dont last vary long because of the shock of going so long with no money (sometimes six months or a year or more). But if you have the knoweledge,passion and intrest you will do very well but, dont expect to make a lot of money the first year. The average a American real estate agent only makes $40,000 a year.

LOL Prospect your "sphere of influence" ... your friends, relatives, professional associates, church members, etc. That is precisely what your broker will tell you, since they know that these people are easy sales. When you run out of "warm leads" and hit the wall, your broker will say ... "NEXT!" That is how many sales organizations operate, real estate and mortgages are no different. If you cannot bring yourself to pitch your friends, expect to bust your butt doing what all successful agents do ... open houses, direct mail, lots of advertising, a website, etc., etc. Hire an assistant when you are overwhelmed with work (that does not mean "money" however). AVOID ALL OF THE LEAD GENERATION SERVICES LIKE THE PLAGUES THAT THEY ARE! They will bankrupt you.
