I love those big black Bing cherries that are only available late June-through July...Yummy

Cherries. They are normally only available in Australia around Christmas times, so they usher in the season. They have great sentimental value for me. We grew up in a poor area, and, towards Christmas, the local school would buy a box of them from the local shop. The owner of the shop would come to the school dressed as Santa Claus and give them out to us. You can imagine how dear I hold cherries.

Berries, (blue, strawberries, raspberries) I wait all year for our blueberries and other berries to ripen It's the highlight of my year, foodwise here:-)
