TV has ALWAYS been full of crap. To me, there seems to be an increase of good shows ie. Heroes, 24, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Monk. I guess how you feel depends on what you like, huh?

Cuz it supposedly mirrors real life... like modern ethnography.... BUT In actuality, it's all adulterated crap. A lot of editing is done to make the crap on TV even crappier and to have some sort of slant on the "characters" and "stories".

Because one man's crap is another man's fertilizer. :) I hate "reality TV", but other people keep watching them, so the networks keep making them. Lots of shows I liked died- "Angel", "Dresden Files", "Carnivale", "Batlestar Galactica", etc because not enough other people watched them. Then, there are shows where I agree with the majority- like "Lost" and "Heroes". :)
