Time never leaves us. We exist and live our lifes out in a constant stream of "Now." What we call the future allows us to plan the next "now." What we call the past, allows us to remember the old "Now." If you define time as the rate of change of "now" then since there is always a Now, there is always time.

Time is the one mystery we will never solve. We are prisoners of time. ALL life that exists cannot move without it. It's all explained in the 1960's version of H.G. Wells Time machine. The past is past. There is ONLY now because the future is already with us. 2 seconds from now is the future & so forth.
