  • Yes, but sugar free is not always good. Aspertaime is used in some sugar free products like yogurt. Aspertaime can cause brain tumors and other cancers.
  • Sugar isn't a bad thing; only too much sugar is a bad thing. As someone who likes to go for the organic isle when possible, I'd rather have a natural sweetener in extreme moderation than a man made version that more chemicals on the ingredient label than ever care to attempt to pronounce.
  • I can't have aspertaime, and that makes me leery of othter artificial sweeteners. While I still eat my fair share of processed foods, I really try to eat as closely to the natural food as much as I can.
  • Because some of us would rather have the sugar than the chemicals. I just hate the taste of sugar substitutes.
  • Natural is always better. I quite doing the lite and diet food thing a decade ago. And honestly, if you are eating right, it won't matter. I weigh the same now as I did then... BMI is still between 18-19. Putting all those chemicals in your body can't be good. Didn't they find out something bad about all those things years back?? Besides, I can tell when things have the fake stuff... GAG!
  • Many people have problems with the artificial sweeteners, many people don't want to eat artificial things. There is nothing wrong with sugar, though there is everything wrong with the genetically modified high fructose sugars. Those are evil. They actually leave you feeling like you didn't eat and make you hungrier than you were before you ate the item. Do some research on it. It's a pretty bad ingredient showing up in all sorts of things.
  • Manufacturers will make whatever sells.
  • No I think it is for personal choice. I don't buy products with artifical sweetner I would prefer something natural. Some people like their food sweet some don't.
  • The evil Sugar Lobby has long tentacles. :(
