My personal opinion. Stop trying to help people...you'll only f*** it up anyway. We know you meant well, but really...just stop.

"Good intentions" without thoughtful, intelligent consideration, planning and the ability to see the consequences is why we are where we are in Iraq...the supposed "intent" to bring democracy to a totally foreign way a life (if in fact that was the intention and not the greedy/grabby war-mongerer's insatiable lust for oil) has brought nothing good..only exacerbated misery and death.."good intentions" can be very evil..:(

I think it means, meaning to do something instead of doing it can have disastrous results. "I meant to turn the stove off before the curtains caught on fire."
