Is it an old wives tale or is the best way to boost the sweetness of the apples from a very old tree to bury a dog at it's roots?

I've never heard that before, but I do know that where we buried our cat, the flowers grew incredibly in that spot afterward. It's probably mostly an old wives tale, but dead critters can make good fertilizer!

I don't see what burying the poor animal could possibly have to do with affecting the taste of the apples. Sounds like and old wives tale I'm glad I never heard of! :-0
