As Stephen Hawking has pointed out, if some day they could invent a machine capable of traveling back in time, then why don't we meet tourists from the future?

never will...God will not allow it just like how he stopped those people from building a tower to reach heaven. Think about what people could do with that! stop people from dying who are already dead stop adam and eve from eating the forbidden fruit and so on. SO if they invent one we dont have to worry about heaven or hell or anything we can correct everything. so sorry to burst your bubble but it would never happen EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Actually it was US Patent number 1 Eureka! You've just invented time travel. But the awful truth is that you're not alone. In fact, scientists have been inventing time travel since 1814. But if you have a time machine, it really doesn't matter who invented it first. All that matters is who gets to the Patent Office first. And by "first" we mean on opening day. Because nothing suits a time machine like U.S. Patent 1. U.S. Patent Number 1 is a racing game. Every player is a scientist who has invented time travel, and now everyone is racing to the Patent Office to prove who invented it first. Because you have a time machine, it's not enough to get to the Patent Office fast. You actually have to go back in time, to the day the Patent Office opened! During this race you will upgrade your machine with some gadgets, including a power plant, a chassis, a weapon, and a shield. You can invent these things on your own, you can buy them, or you can steal them from the other players. Only a machine with all four upgrades qualifies to earn the patent, and you have a limited supply of money and power to spend.

All that needs to be done is ; Bring two Black Holes close enough to each other until their prospective Event Horizons are close enough to each other to create a Wormhole... Viola'.... how can you travel back in time if no where is the past saved. i.e to watch something you have seen with your eyes you must record it with a video recorder. so until someone invents a 'recorder' the stores physical matter then time travel is just a stupid thought, also travel would then only be possible to the day this 'recorder' is switched on fully functional
