  • yeah i have some old minature bottles filled up with all different things which i have on my kitchen windowsill. i couldnt think of anything else to do with them. also i have a huge whisky bottle the type that pubs have for saving up my spare change.
  • Years ago, I was on a very tight budget and used things like that. I made an "entertainment center" out of boards and cinderblocks. Placed the boards through the holes on different levels to make shelves, then painted the whole thing black...it actually didn't look that bad. And I could move the boards around to change the look. I would also take unusually shaped liquor bottles, cover them in pieces of masking tape and paint them with brown or black liquid shoe polish. Made them look like they were covered in leather (unless you got really close to them).
  • Yes I do that to me says it is home and mine.
  • I can make a really cool ash tray out of an empty beer can (and I don't mean just using an empty beer can) it involves cutting it up and folding it into sort of like a star shape. Different types of beers produce different looks, a Guiness can is a good one. I don't actually smoke in the house so they get used for different things, like small change, etc. I'll take a picture of one and show you some time, you might like to make one yourself. Edit: Here you go. This is a couple of them.
  • Not really, but I have a glass jar that came with fruit preserves as a flower vase. =)
  • I have an green bottle and a green blue ceramic collection. I also have tons of baskets they are overtaking the house!
  • I don't, but antiques are that way to some. I know my mom has tons of "decorations" that I would just toss in a second. But she cherishes them. I call her the Clutter Queen. It's soo funny. =)
  • I have 4 exploded pyro tubes in my gardens. they are from shows we had done where the shells went off in the tubes. I just thought they were neat looking. That and hubby (he worked on the field during shoots) didn't die when it happened.
  • I have a couple of empty liquor bottles on my wet bar. I don't keep just any bottle. I choose by glass if frosted and by shape. Some liquor bottles are fancy. Lots of people collect bottles. Nothing wrong with that if you like them. Now if people call your stuff garbage, they have a choice to visit or not. However, in the office, diversity is everywhere and people just have different opinions as to what is classy or what looks good. Do and keep whatever you want in your house, but at work you have the same choice to like or not the other person's deco.
