HELP ME WITH THIS QUSETION PLEASE
They are living. A fingernail is produced by living cells produced by living cells within the finger. They are made up of a type of hardened protein. The fingernail grows out from the matrix. As more cells grow, the older cells are pushed out. Long nails? Think about when you slame you finger nail in a door. It will usually die and fall off. They are made of cells, reproduce, respond to and adapt to the environment, etc...
