Cruelty-free materials, mostly. :) It depends on the particular fursuit, but I've helped design one with faux fur, mesh/toole (for eyes, mouth), felt, cotton thread, resin (nails, teeth), acrylic paints, polyfill, scrap Styrofoam, cotton lining, zippers, elastic, rubber (for the pads of the feet)... I'd be interested in using real wool for sheepgirl outfits (if someone were interested in dressing up as such), but it can be difficult to manage. Sheepskin would be much easier to work with, but that borders (and I believe crosses in this particular case) the line of what's distasteful.

you forgot about metal/foam for the shape and struture of the head of the suit (eigther wire frame or carved foam) and a latex covering (under aurmor) never hurts because it keeps the suiter clool but I guess that's something you'd wear isn't it lol
