It means what it means - no tariffs, no penalty for imports/exports between the nations that have free trade. Sounds great. The problem is you have people living in America, with our prices and cost of living, who have to compete with people living in China or India. The reality is that it has completely gutted American manufacturing jobs, which have served to create our middle class. Not to mention, relying on others to build your stuff provides little security. We are already dependent on the middle east for oil....now China and India? What free trade is effectively doing is bringing 95% of the countries population standard of living down to the level of these other countries. The other 5% are doing a lot better though.
