Help answer this question below.

I CAN ,T FIND THE DIADNOSTIC WIRE TO DO IGNITION TIMING ON MY 1996 CHEVY 1500 4WD TRUCK WITH A 5.7L I REMOVED THE DIST. TO REPLACE THE INTAKE GASKET NOW I NEED TO RESET THE DIST.

    It should be on the right side of the front fender it may be a tan or brown wire on the harness coming from in side of the truck the wire is a round plug hopes that helps
