The "Green Dragon" is a wingless dragon that resembles a crocodile or Komodo Dragon or just a large lizzard. The Green Dragon is a creature that hides in holes and under things, then suddenly jumps out to hunt its prey. Its moves are low, most of the stances are so low your head is at a standing belt level and the floor gets buffed by your butt. The Green Dragon often targets ankles and knees. There are lots of punches to the hips & knees, spinning "tail" sweeps but absolutely NO jumps or high kicks. There are 212 classical Green Dragon forms. The "Golden Dragon" is more like a flying snake with large claws on short stubby legs. Since the legends say the Golden Dragon lives in the sun and never touches the Earth, it uses ONLY high jumping moves such as grabs & vaults or just kicks. There are 189 classical Golden Dragon forms. The "Red Dragon" is the big dragon with poison fangs and fire breath to compliment its bigger than tiger claws. This is the large powerfull dragon that uses mass and strength even more than tiger style. It has many short squats, low drop & rolls, as well as many high hops and jump kicks etc. It also uses some pressure point pokes, mostly targetting lymph nodes and kidneys to cause the targetted body to poison itself with kidney renal failure. The trapping grabs use classical joint manipulations to tear fingers, hands, wrists, & elbows. There are 111 classical Red Dragon forms. Then there is the tiny but most deadly and wisest "Black Dragon" or sorcerer bat. Imagine something the size of a large dog with wings, a barbed tail spike, poison finger claws, poison fangs, fire breath, and extra hard scales. This is the dragon that brings Chi Kung and internal body armour, paints glue & powdered glass mixed with various harsh herbs onto the fingernails, and this dragon goes much deeper into pressure points, using all 713 of them as prime & secondary targets. It also uses many tricks, illusions, diversions, and distractions that give it its magical reputation (this is where the Ninja stole the blinding flash & smoke pellets). There are 347 classical Black Dragon forms. ... and then there are non-classical variations ... ... so it is not a surprise that what you watched was not the same as what you were shown & taught in your martial arts class.
