  • Since they use the same engines, the transmission usually bolts to the engine just fine. However, that is the simple part. Slightly more complex is the mounting of a clutch pedal. This generally requires varying degrees of modification to the firewall; maybe as simple as just replacing the pedal set and drilling a hole for the cutch cable, maybe not. Probably the hardest obstacle to overcome is fooling the ECU into working properly. Older cars (pre-OBD) have no issues here since they have no ECU. OBD-0 and OBD-1 cars may or may not be easy to convert; it varies. OBD-2 cars are a little finicky and may require swapping out the ECU if you do ANYTHING to them
