Characters: Wife Husband Boatman Assassin Lover There is a husband and a wife. One day the husband has to go on a business trip and tells the wife that he will be back the next day at 9:00 am. The wife begs him to take her because she knows that if she is alone, she will cross the bridge of the river and go see her lover. Her husband says ‘no’ because he only has a hotel for one person and he just can’t take her. The husband leaves. The wife is alone. Now that the husband is gone, the wife runs across the bridge to her lover’s house. They flirt until night time. The wife spends the night with the lover. In the morning when she wakes up, it is 8:45. The wife tells the lover that she must get back home or her husband will be angry at her. When she steps outside and looks across the bridge that leads to her house, she sees an assassin. There is also a boatman. She runs to him and asks him to take her across. He says he can’t. It will cost her 2 dollars. She tries to quickly explain the story to him, but the boat man remains adamant. It is now 8:55. She runs to her lover and asks him to give her 2 dollars so she can cross the river and get back home. He refuses to give it to her. The wife’s only option is to now face the assassin. She runs across the bridge. She is shot half way and is killed immediately. Who is to blame for the wife’s death?

uh what story lol

In a court of law, it sounds like her husband will be found guilty (assuming he hired the assassin) of conspiracy to commit murder, and the assassin will get a guilty verdict as well. Of course the lover may have hired the assassin - not enough evidence to determine who hired the assassin. You don't provide a motive for the boatman to hire a hitman, so let's just call him a jerk for not giving a lady in distress a helping hand. In a court of ethics, the wife is responsible for her own death.

Well, I think everyone in the story has their own faults, with worst to least going: - Assasin - Wife - Lover (Unless he knows about assassin, then he is worse than wife.) - Husband. (He should be a more caring husband, and know there are assassins in the area). As for the blame for wifes death: -Assassin 98%! -Wife 1.5% -Lover 0.5% (unless he knew about assassin).
-
whoever hired the assassin.
-
The boatman. Greedy bastard.

She is silly biiiatch! If she was a true playa she would have her husbands Gold-card and got a night in a top hotel with someone other than mr cheapskate on the island and a chaffuer driven limo back!
-
The wife. She should have stayed home.

after reading it I say they all share at least some of the blame for her death her husband for not taking her on the trip the boatman for being so much more concerned with money than her tragic story the assassin for killing her and the boyfriend for not giving her the money to get on the boat Posting Comment...

I'll put them in order for you. 1st Wife - she knew she would cheat. I don't condone cheaters. To me that is a terrible crime that she should never have done. Besides that she's the one who went there. 2nd Assassin - Obiously he shot her. Doh. But I still believe he's below the wife. 3rd Lover - Anyone who knows that the person they are already seeing is pretty bad. He could have refused for her to come to begin with. Or never have gone out with her preventing her wanting to go there. Oh and obviously for not giving her the money, but she liked him so it's still her fault. 4th Boatman - He stuck to policies, not technically his fault. He should have considered bringing her though if he knew it'd protect her. 5th Husband - How did he do anything wrong? If his business is paying for that room, he didn't have much of a choice did he? He let her know when he'd be back, he did all he could I think.

They're all at fault. The wife for committing adultery (she needs to use self control), the husband for not caring about his wife's affair, the lover for not caring about the assassin, and the boatman for being so greedy even after hearing her explanation.
-
The BULLET that shots her. That caused her death.
-
The husband. He caused everything!

I'm going insane trying to work out who I think is the culprit in this story so I'm giving up and leaving it to all you ab cops to work out. All i can say is that the husband had a floozy waiting for him in the hotel room, so I don't blame the wife for cheating. heheh :))
