  • china they have numbers
  • China. They not only have numbers, but superior military intelligence and technology.
  • The one that is invaded wins, Russia can't invade China and China can't invade Russia
  • They really wouldn`t go to war because they are really good allies unless something like really bad happended
  • I believe China would win. They have numerical superiority and more disregard for the consequences of their actions than even the US has.
  • I'd have to Wikipedia their militaries, but... It's hard to imagine that 1.1 billion Chinese can't field a larger army than 160-ish million Russians. Poorly trained soldiers are virtually useless, but Russia has their share of these too. . The real factors in a given battle are effective use of combined arms and numbers of heavy weapons (tanks, artillery)... I'm not sure who'd be ahead here. Usedta woulda been the USSR, but their military went down the tubes after the collapse of the USSR, and China has been trying to better equip and professionalize their military. . The main factor in a _war_ is logistics. ("Amateurs think of tactics. Professionals think of logistics.") China has shorter supply lines, and their industry is probably still in much better shape, even after the recent recovering of the Russian economy. They could cut the trans-Siberian railway, which is only 100ish miles inside Russia, and prevent resupply of Russian units. Advantage China here.
  • First I'd like to correct "shitfaced"... Russia & China are not allies, they are merely neutral (if all)... they both have a border dispute over some islands in amur region... although the dispute was settled in the near past, there is still some bitterness... But I do believe in case of a war, Russia will win, hands down.... In today's world wars cant just be won based on sheer numbers of one country, the government needs foreign allies. And I feel, Russia has far more allies than China. Taiwan, Japan, S. Korea they will all join forces with Russia to defeat China if you know the years of unrest all these countries have against each other. Forget USA supporting China, it wont be in its best interest. USA may want the communist govt in China to topple over and give rise to a new democratic or maybe a puppet govt, in China.
  • China....their Army would big-time outnumber Russia's.
  • Russia.
  • I'd bet on China. They could throw bodies at the Russians until they wore them down.
  • Russia hands down. Anyone that invades Russia loses. Napoleon and Hitler are just two examples.
  • Depends on how long it went. I think China would have the initial advantage, but the longer it went, and the deeper they attempted to go into Russia, their advantage would begin to shrink. The sheer size of Russia, combined with the harsh winters makes for a very formidable task. Ask Hitler or Napoleon.
  • I believe the rest of the world would win when China and Russia seriously weaken each other. :o)
  • The final thought is NOBODY wins or has ever won a war.Everyone looses on both sides. They loose in mankind and also loose in world respect.
  • It would be damn messy but i'd say russia despite the awesoome lack of manpower compared to china. Russia dont lose wars. the cold war doesnt count btw. They would just keep fighting until the chinese got bored basically. As churchill said the russians take a long time to horse a cart but once they do there is no stopping them or sumink like that anyway
