  • If you take a look at Wikipedia's list of assassins (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_assassins), you'll see that more assassins are referred to by just first and last name rather than first, middle, and last. Perhaps it seems that assassins are referred to by their full name because we commonly hear of John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, and James Earl Ray, but there are just as many of these killers who go by first and last name only (e.g. Leon Csolgosz, Charles Guiteau, Sirhan Sirhan). The "two name" assassins are simply not as well-known as the "three name" assassins.
