The worst in the majors. You get a good pension, the minimum wage is way higher that a AAA ballplayer gets. The daily meal money is over $100. You get your picture on a baseball card! You will be in the major league baseball registry, the rest of your life you can always say 'At least I made it to the majors, not many other do'.

Worst in the majors definitely... just ask Crash Davis in Bull Durham! He set the minor league home run record, and to him it just proved what a flop his career had been, that he had been in the minors for long enough to set that record. Ok, so it was fictional, but it echoes my thoughts exactly. Also, the whole point of the minor league clubs and their players is to benefit their parent Major League club... in themselves the minor leagues count for nothing, they are a stepping stone, and if you don't step off that stone then you haven't achieved anything.

If I played any sport as a professional I would want to be in the highest league I could get into. If you would be satisfied with being the best in a lower league you just don't have what it takes to be a professional sportsman.

I suppose I would rather be the best pitcher in AAA. What good is money if you are never satisfied with your performance? It seems a sad existence to me. But I really like to win. :)
