A lot of women (I'll make the assumption that you are a woman) don't reach orgasm through penetration alone. Frankly, I believe that orgasm by any means - hands, toys, mouth, etc. - is great.. However, if you are intent on receiving an orgasm through penetration alone, there are some things you can try. First of all, don't ignore the clitoris! Even if you are focused on penetration, make sure the position you are in allows stimulation of the clitoris (either directly or indirectly). Generally, if your upper pubic areas can touch, it's a good position. Also, see if G-spot stimulation helps. I won't go into detail here since there are many sources online that will tell you how to locate it, but you should probably try to find it yourself first (specially curved dildos help with this), then help your partner locate it. In addition, some women find that strengthening their pelvic muscles through kegel exercises helps them achieve orgasms easier. Again, Google "kegel exercise" and you'll find plenty of information. Also, make sure that you are sufficiently turned-on. Think sexy thoughts, fantasize, light some candles, watch some steamy videos, wear something silky - whatever gets you in the mood. And make sure your partner knows what does it (or doesn't) for you. Communication is key. Be gentle, but direct. Finally, take your time. Remember, it generally takes us women longer to achieve orgasm then it does for men. So, plenty of foreplay and pause intercourse if necessary to let him stimulate you in other ways. Best of luck to you!

I know that movies and print media have held up the orgasm by penile penetration as the holy grail of sex for all of us. Not only that, but we must experience some level of inadequacy if we don't achieve simultaneous orgasms on the first try! I would suggest that you stop trying to live up to the images presented to us and do what feels good for you. I can only speak from my own experience. My ex-wife never achieved an orgasm through direct penetration. That didn't stop us from achieving a full and satisfying (for both of us) sex life. Our sex sessions usually started with foreplay, followed by manual (digital) stimulation of her clitoris. Sometimes I would bring her to orgasm that way, then enter her and we would go for my own satisfaction. Other times, I would "go first", then bring her to orgasm after I had completed. Still other times, she would be happy to accomodate me without any expectation of achieving orgasm herself. She was sexually satisfied in our marriage, which ended for an entirely different reason. My current wife can achieve orgasm very easily by a number of different methods. Sometimes we have straight intercourse and she comes from the penetration alone. Other times, she will need a little extra stimulation. Our favorite positions when she needs that little extra are "spoons" or her on top. When she is on top, she can sit back and ride me while stimulating her clitoris herself. This usually leads to one of those mind-blowing orgasms that requires me to hold on to her to keep her from falling off the bed! In the "spoons" position, I enter her from behind while we are lying on our sides. (Imagine two spoons in the silverware drawer!) I can then reach around and stimulate her clitoris with my hand. This is usually a much more "relaxing" sex act for us, but there have been times that we made the bed move! (Once all the way across the room!) I also had a girlfriend years ago who rarely came from penetration alone. We found out after a while, that she became more sensitive as the night went on. Sometimes after we had finished and were going a second round, she would achieve orgasm from the penetration alone. I think that my extended time to come had a definite effect on her on those occasions. Maybe, like her, you need a little more time to achieve orgasm from penetration alone. Keep in mind, that however you achieve orgasm, is a good way to do so. Best of luck, and enjoy yourself.

I'm guessing that you need clitoral stimulation... if this is the case, then you or your partner can stimulate your clit as he is penetrating you. Don't be shy to show him how YOU like it. Also, I once had a girlfriend that could only reach orgasm this way... So we spent time testing out different position until we found a few that were really good for her... and 1 especially she kinda became addicted to where she could reach orgasm within 1-2 minutes :) Here goes: Have her lie down on her back. Get on top of her, and insert her vagina. Her legs should be closed. Its basciacally a "cowgirl" position but with the male on top. Sounds strange, but it works... Next, push yourself a little higher so that your penis is inserting in an angle, thus promoting increased pressure on her clit by the shaft of your penis as you rub in and out (). Then just use your hips (not your whole body) to rock in and out... Whenever I did this, plus sucking on her nipples... she would lose it every time. And if she enjoys being a little submissive, and have you keep control, she can't squirm out of the way... which would then cause her to reach 5-10 orgasms within just a few minutes. Give it a try and let me know ;)
