I think almost everyone has at one time or another I did just that recently even though I know that what they said was the truth because it hurt. but thankfully they were a good enough friend to say what needed to be said in spite of the risk to our friendship I only hope that when I get the help that I have been denying I needed they will be forgiving enough to take me back as a friend

Yeah. A shame really. I've always seen things slightly askew. Probably from reading too much Mad magazine and listening to FM radio in the wee, prior MTV, mornings of my youth. (Anybody remember Jean Sheppard [http://www.flicklives.com/Misc/who_is.htm]?} Anyway, a young lady I went to grade school with called me. "Were you sleep?" "Yeah" "Didn't mean to wake you." "Then what you CALL me for?" CLICK. Never heard from her again.

yes, if i hung out with him, i would be reminded of the pain that a 3rd mutual friend brought me. i could not take the pain anymore, so i distanced myself from both of them, even tho one of them never did anything to hurt me. it was the memories of the 3 of us together that i couldnt take.

Yes, but I was trying to stop doing bad things and knew that if I stayed around that group I would continue. I feel bad though. She called me a few months later and left a VM on my cell phone asking why I never called her anymore. I was too weirded out to tell her. I really really liked her a lot though. :(
