As in change for a dollar, yes. As in a handout, no. I will give them food, or a bottle of water if they need it, but no cash.

If i have change i do, but it also depends on who it is. I don't mean to be rude but if i see a person on the side of the street with a sign and i have seen them there almost every day, no i wont. The reason is if they can beg for hours a day, they can get a job. I believe that every able sole should work. There are tonz of jobs out there that will have a helping hand. I also have a problem and i don't know if it is a problem in your area, but the beggers that come to walmart have the sign and look dirty but you always see the same semi-truck parked just down the street, then when they are done they walk to their truck and go on. They are professional beggers, i usually give food before money. At least with the food they can't buy beer, drugs and so forth.
