i'd like to think yeah.

Yep. Random acts of kindess are like treasure. If you do something nice for 10 people, at least 5 of them will do something nice back. 5 people doing something nice for you at the same time has to be pretty cool.

Sure, as long as I grew some more!

Most definitely, assuming the doctors cleared us both as healthy enough to go through the procedure you couldn't stop me. I'm actually on the Bone Marrow Donor register.

Yes. In fact, I already donated once. I'm on the marrow registry, and was called a few years ago as a perfect match for a stranger. I was told that there were two ways I might be asked to donate: the actual marrow (which involves drilling into the hip bone) and bone marrow stem cells (through a type of apheresis procedure). It ended up being the latter. Here's a link to my blog describing the experience. It was an absolutely incredible feeling when I was done. http://dr-dredd.livejournal.com/tag/bone+marrow

I hope everyone would! I'm alive today because a wonderful anonymous donor decided to save a life. April is National Donate Life month. Go save lives: http://marrow.org All it takes to be listed on the database is a very quick oral swab.
