  • I'm not a meterologist, but what I remember from GCSE geography is that you use barometic pressure (e.g. regions of low or high pressure) to predict wind direction and intensity... You can then compare cold fronts to hot fronts, you'll find one rises over the other, causing rain clouds, etc etc. sorry it's not a better answer
